I got the first volume in this set as a free kindle book. My 13 year old daughter and I both enjoyed it. I thought it was original and I liked the character of Althea. There wasn't any content that seemed questionable to me. My daughter asked me to get the rest, and so I purchased this kindle set. However, after reading books 2, 3, and 4, I have to say that I don't think it's appropriate for my daughter. While there isn't any sex, there is a LOT of kissing, touching, talking about kissing, thinking about doing more, cuddling, pressing up against each other, kissing some more, feeling lots of warmth from the kissing, descriptions of lifting shirts to press bare stomachs together, etc. etc. It's a lot. I'm rating it four starts, because it is an enjoyable story, but I thought other parents might want to know a bit more detail about the content. If you think that level of content is fine, great. I just don't think we're there.Product details

This set of 4 books is aimed for younger people, but I found it very enjoyable. I found myself getting a little impatient sometimes with the stretching into 4 books when 3 would have done nicely, but altogether hard to put down.
This is such a fantastic read,it invoked so many emotions in me.I enjoyed the adventure that the four elements took me on,and the emotions they show and the bravery heroics. I really hope people enjoy this book set as much as me and my daughter did.
I really enjoyed this series. Tricia Leigh spins a unique twist on aliens, humans, and the battle for Earth. I connected with the characters and their struggles and felt invested with their journey. Definitely worth the read. Get the box set because you will want to know how it ends.
Trisha has created a universe in which you will be thrilled to say the least. This series is amazing. I loved loved LOVED Whispers in Autumn and Getting all of them was the best deal I could get. Totally recommend her and Denise Grover Swank!
These books were FABULOUS! I fell in love with the main character and rooted for her the entire way though. The writing is sharp and easy to read. The characters were believable as was the premise. You will burn through these books quickly and then miss the characters when it is over. This series is AMAZING!!
It kept me going, through each book to find out what happens. But, there are parts that don't quite fit together, mostly concerning the motives of the alien race, "The Others".
But, overlooking some of those details, it's a nice way to spend the weekend.
I started The Last Year series on a whim after seeing it mentioned online. I was instantly hooked and telling everyone what an amazing story this series truly is. Getting to know Althea, Lucas, Pax, and Deshi has been a roller coaster ride of emotions. Trisha Leigh has a true gift for weaving a story full of Paranormal elements that is so believable that it's nearly tangible. I will read this again in the future to revisit these four Dissidents who feel like family. If you haven't begun the series, get busy … you won't be sorry!
